Brno Connectivity / Brno Democratic City
Mojzesová, Šárka ; Šánek, Pavel (referee) ; Nový, Vítězslav (advisor)
The master thesis deals with the design of urban rehabilitation spa in the centre of Brno. The main idea of the design is to create a quiet oasis full of relaxation and health in the busy city centre. I have created the oasis on the border of Brno-Zábrdovice and Brno-centrum. Zábrdovice is a new development area in Brno, where many residential complexes are currently being constructed. This means that new families, students and other social and age groups will start moving to this location. Oasis is defined as a quiet and peaceful place in the middle of something hostile and disturbing. It is typically accompanied by a blanket of pleasant greenery, a sense of rest and a source of water. In my case, I'm inserting a spa with a rehabilitation wing that offers hydrotherapy and other pool amenities into the bustling centre of Brno. My aim was to offer all people the same feeling of safety and relaxation in a watery and naturally green environment. The spa is also a place where people come together for an experience. To enjoy the environment, the materials and simply to take a break from the everyday hustle and bustle.
